Equine Glucosamine Supplement – Complete Plus HA
Ingredients:
Hyaluronic Acid (100 mg per serving). HA is a component of collagen. It functions by attracting water to the synovial fluid, and acts as a lubricating substance within the joint, creating a protective barrier that reduces friction, relieving inflammation and pain by improving joint function in horses.
MSM (10,000 mg per serving)
MSM contributes to healthy joints because, as a form of sulfur, it adds to the benefits of glucosamine. It may aid glucosamine in its role to maintain healthy cartilage as well as helping to enhance joint flexibility and mobility. MSM may also relieve pain of strained muscles and over extended joints, and can lessen inflammation and muscle spasms.
The Glucosamine in our equine glucosamine supplement (10,000mgs per serving), provides building blocks for healthy joints, while improving joint function. Is is also involved in the formation of cartilage, tendons, skin, eyes, bones, ligaments and heart valves. Glucosamine can help the body help itself repair damaged or eroded cartilage. It works at the cellular level to reinforce natural repair ability.
DMG (1500 mg per serving)
DMG is used to manage fatigue, to enhance blood sugar metabolism, improve liver functions and to strengthen the cardiovascular system. DMG increases oxygen utilization and thereby decrease lactic acid levels under extreme stress and decrease muscle fatigue and cramping.
Lysine (6000 mgs per serving) & Methionine (4000 mgs per serving)
Methionine and Lysine are two essential amino acids, often deficient in equine feeds and indications are poor quality hoof, skin and coat, as well as tendon and ligament problems. Delayed wound healing and low tolerance to stress and exercise are also signs of deficiency. These amino acids are key components of the protein Keratin, “the major protein in hoof horn” and are vital building blocks in the construction of the hoof. These crucial building blocks must be present to ensure full utilization of Biotin. Methionine is a sulfur containing amino acid essential for formation of strong hooves. Lysine is needed for appropriate growth (muscle, blood and hoof building) and bone development; it helps calcium absorption and maintains proper nitrogen balance. This amino acid aids in the production of antibodies, hormones and enzymes, and helps in collagen formation and tissue repair.
Glutamine (1500 mgs per serving)
Recovery would not be complete without L-Glutamine, a key amino acid for muscle health. The immune system requires glutamine in times of trauma or stress. The demand for this non-essential amino acid increases dramatically when the body is repairing damaged tissue.
Biotin (200 mgs per serving)
Biotin is a water soluble B-group vitamin and is a crucial co-factor in hoof keratination. Biotin is especially important for the maintenance of hooves and significant for the health of all connective tissue structures, stimulates keratin production in the hoof, hoof wall, sole and frog.
Yea Sacc (12,000 mgs per serving)
Yea-Sacc® stimulates good bacteria in horses hind gut and buffers gut acidity to prevent digestive upset and to restore normal gut function. Helps to reduce risk of digestive colic and digestive disturbances linked with training, traveling, performing, de-worming, antibiotic treatment and surgery. Maximizes nutrient digestibility and stimulates milk production in lactating mares.
Milled Flax Seed (10,000 mgs per serving)
Flax helps ease joint stiffness, acts as a natural anti-inflammatory, promotes a soft & glossy coat, strong hoof growth, helps prevent sand colic, supports a healthy heart, immune system, digestive system, and encourages healthy foal development. Milled Flax seed has the highest plant source of Omega-3 fatty acids.
Natural Vitamin E (800 IUS per serving)
Natural Vitamin E enhances muscle tone and endurance in working horses, and also improves circulation. Improves heart function, enhances the immune system and acts as a potent antioxidant also beneficial for the prevention of tying up.
Calcium Citrate (3000 mgs per serving) & Magnesium Oxide (2000 mgs per serving)
Calcium is necessary for bone formation and muscle contraction. Bone is approximately 35% calcium. It is important that horses of all ages get sufficient calcium. A lack of calcium may result in a weak skeleton which might not tolerate the strains and shocks of training. The horse body is about .05% magnesium, or about one half pound in a mature horse. It is an activator of many enzymes involved in energy production. It assists in calcium and potassium uptake and plays a role in the formation of bone and in carbohydrate and mineral metabolism.
