Taurine is an essential amino acid for cats, and may also be important for certain dog breeds. It plays a crucial role in various physiological functions, including heart health and retinal function. A deficiency in taurine can lead to serious health issues such as cardiomyopathy in cats and dogs, as well as retinal degeneration.
Recommended Serving: 1 Teaspoon = 5 grams
Large Breed Dogs (90 lbs +) … 2 – 3 Teaspoons per day (10 – 15 g)
Medium Breeds (45-80Lbs) … 1 – 2 Teaspoons per day (5-10 g)
Small Breed Dogs (20-40 Lbs) … 1 Teaspoon per day (5 g)
X-small Breed Dogs (Less 20 Lbs) … ½ Teaspoon per day (2.5 g)
